Although less recognized, the peace building role of children and women in families and their communities is instrumental. Peace and stability are necessary conditions for nay development efforts to thrive. Hence seeding peace in children and families is paramount if sustainable peace to prevail in the long run at the micro and macro level structures of the nation. This is also a burning issue in Ethiopia given the current socioeconomic and political landscape of the country. This project is therefore, designed to propagate the practice of conflict resolution and peace building at the grassroots level with active participation of children and women. The project eventually contributes to create a pro-peace community where conflicts could be handled properly and effectively. The project focuses on peace building/conflict management, improving resilience in children, families and communities. The project also enables to nurture peace loving children through promoting co-existence, tolerance, and diversity among the children, families, and target community that eventually ensures the rights of children in Addis Ketema sub city Woreda 06.
