Since MCDP pursues integrated community development program that gives prior attention to children and women segments of the community, it mainstreams child protection activities in its development intervention in order to maintain the well-being of children through protecting from exploitative labor and trafficking. In line with this, MCDP carries out the following.
Provision of Safe Home services so that intercepted children from trafficker as well as those run away children stay safely before reintegration to their community of origin and parents.
Facilitating Panel discussions on the issues of child labour exploitation and child trafficking and the mechanism of protecting children from labour abuse and trafficking.
Conducting campaigns against child trafficking, child labor and other forms of child abuse using events like World Day against Child labour and Day of African Child.
